AZW3 is used for Kindle Format 8, which supports richer ebook markup than older MOBI7. The decoder reconstructs chapter resources and references before the shared reader displays them. Anyfile focuses on readable reflowable content rather than reproducing every Kindle presentation feature.
Common question
Why does AZW3 look different from the Kindle version?
The local reader sanitizes reconstructed markup and applies its own reading styles. Basic CSS is supported, but device-specific typography and complex page composition may be simplified.
Is AZW3 just an EPUB with another extension?
No. Both can contain ebook markup, but AZW3 uses the KF8/MOBI record structure rather than an EPUB ZIP package. Renaming between them does not convert the book.
