What Anyfile can show

  • Face geometry and component transforms with orbit, zoom and standard views
  • Basic material colors and supported embedded PNG/JPEG textures
  • Model dimensions in meters, wireframe and object visibility
  • First-person walkthroughs with viewpoint placement, adjustable eye height and speed, and return to the previous overview
  • Drag to look around; WASD to move, Q/E to rise or descend, and scroll or trackpad pinch to adjust the field of view

Limits and conditions

  • Walkthroughs allow movement through walls without collision detection or gravity; viewpoint placement selects visible surfaces, including roofs and furniture
  • Version compatibility depends on the parser; some legacy files cannot be decoded
  • Annotations, standalone edges, styles, saved views and dynamic component behavior are not reproduced
  • 128 MiB input; ZIP expansion up to 768 MiB total and 512 MiB per entry; 60-second parsing budget; WebGL 2 required

IMPLEMENTATION

Viewers responsible for this format

Open a supported SketchUp .skp file to explore a house, apartment or interior design in your browser. Inspect the whole building from outside, then place a viewpoint on a visible surface and enter a room at an adjustable eye height. First-person walkthrough controls let you move around and look at the layout, furniture and supported materials from inside. Anyfile reads the model locally, so you can review a design without uploading it or installing SketchUp.

Common question

Do I need to upload my SketchUp model?

No. SKP decoding and rendering happen locally in your browser. You do not need SketchUp installed.

How can I walk inside a SketchUp house or room?

Open the SKP file, choose Place viewpoint, select a visible surface and confirm Enter here. Set the eye height, drag to look around, use WASD to move and Q/E to rise or descend. You can also enter Walkthrough directly from the current view. Return to overview restores the previous camera view.

What if the roof blocks the room, and can I zoom during a walkthrough?

Placement picks the visible roof rather than a hidden floor. After entering, use Q to descend through it, or place the viewpoint on a floor that is already visible. Scroll or use a trackpad pinch to change the field of view while staying in place. This is free navigation without collision detection or gravity.

Will this look exactly like my SketchUp scene?

The preview focuses on geometry, component placement and supported materials. SketchUp styles, annotations and saved cameras are not reproduced, and some versions or features may fail to open.
