IMPLEMENTATION

Viewers responsible for this format

Matroska can combine many video, audio and subtitle codecs in one file. Anyfile demuxes the selected MKV locally and plays verified primary tracks through WebCodecs rather than uploading or transcoding them on a server.

Common question

Does Anyfile convert MKV files before playing them?

No server conversion occurs. The browser demuxes and decodes supported tracks on the current device.
